FYI

No! Not "For Your Information". Today, actually Monday, it was "Forget Your Instincts". That'swhat I did anyway. While writing a post about the unlucky week I had at the BBTwo last week I seriously considered not playing in the Monday addition of the tournaments (MATH). Instead I convinced myself to forget my instincts and join the party. As last week went I started out on a good note and played pretty good with the cards provided. Actually I didn't get to play very much with the good cards that were provided. I never could get any callers to play when I had cards to play. And when I (limped in) called the quickly raising blinds, due to the added turbo element this week, the blinds would usually get raised tremendously and I would fold away. Only once would I have actually won any of the limp calls I eventually folded so it wasn't that bad to fold away. Unfortunately, Monday was no different from the way things have gone thus far for me in the BBTwo. Hopefully things will turn around tonight in the Mookie! Otherwise it looks like it's gonna be a looong 9 weeks. By this time last season (after 6 tournaments) I had already made 3 final tables finished in 2nd at the MATH and finished in the points 5 times and in the money 50% of the time. Thus far this season 6 entries, 0 points,
0 money and a quest for a TOC seat seeming to be an impossibility. Oh well, no sense in getting down about the whole situation, I've got a beautiful wife, 2 wonderful children, a good job, and when people want to visit they don't have to go to the hospital or the local penetintuary, they stop by the ole homestead! Life is good! My God is an Awesome God!
See ya on the felt! -out-

!!No Such Luck!!

This week has been a tough one at the tables for me. Played in the MATH this past Monday and was knocked out after a pretty good run and getting the ole donkdonk delivery to my doorstep. Wednesday night at the Mookie I feel much better about my game, start off slowly and work my way into the 2nd hour(with about 2 minutes left) and decide to push with my pocket pair only to run up against 2 other pocket pairs and the lowest of the three raking the pot and sending me to the rail once again. Finally on Thursday, again well into the 2nd hour I have managed to work my way up into the top 3 positions and feeling pretty comfortable about making it deeper into this event. Unfortunately, during one of my BB hands that gets a minimal raise I decide to stay with only one player and 9/10 off suite to play with. Well, the flop comes 7,9,10. 1st to act bets a reasonable bet but did not really convince me of any added strength, so I make a substantial raise, with my top two pair and the opponent, with little to spare at this point goes all in. Did I just get trapped with a flopped straight? Is there a made set already... doesn't matter at this point I've invested 3/4 of my stack, gotta go. Call the all-in and see that I am ahead at this point when opponent reveals JJ as hole cards. The turn comes and helps neither of us... then the dreaded river. Turned away momentarily hoping to turn back and be the overwhelming chipleader! Didn't happen... river comes another 7 giving opponent a better two pair and crippling my chipstack and spirits for the rest of the tournament. I did manage to hang around for about 20/25 more minutes and double up on several occasions but the blinds had gotten to a point that I could not do any damage with the stack I had, eventually putting it all-in with AK and losing out to A 10 when the flop throws out A 10 10. Not sure what the turn and river did but when I turned back to look the tables had been rearranged and I was no longer participating. Oh well, that's about par for the course for me this week. Start the week off with a win vs 2699 freerollers then can't get through to the 3rd hour of the events that really matter. Looking forward to getting into a new week of the BBTwo(dangit, theres 5 more bucks I owe my brother) and hopefully giving myself a chance to vie for that seat to the Aussie Millions.
Thanks to all the BBtwo(chit, did it again) tournament hosts and good luck to all the players this week. Noticed the new addition to this weeks MATH is Turbo. Not sure about the turbo, may hold off and save the $26 for the later tournaments in the week, but more than likely I will cave and be there. For now....-out-

$100 United States Freeroll Champion

Yep, you heard it right. Champion! As my brother put it "King of the Freeroll Donks". It all started as a way to kill time while watching Sunday Night Football and an opportunity to hone the skills required to donk out on a few bloggers throughout the upcoming week. Little did I know that I would actually work my way through 2699 other players and finish atop the leaderboard as Champion! This was a loooong drawn out and eventually an extremely exilerating experience. Of course there were times where I just wanted to dump the whole load and just hit the sack but the challenge and outspoken challengers in the chat only inspired me to roll on. Due to my screen name I get a lot of haters on me from the get go, but I'm used to that now. Anyway, wish I knew how to picture the final screen and post it here but at 3:20am and 6:10am alarm coming I gave up rather quickly on how to do it. I did take a picture of the screen with my razor phone and text it to several fellow players throughout the day. Sooner or later my daughter (13 years old) is going to teach me how to navigate through all the extras in the bloggers world and I'll be able to dress up this lame sight.

Well, it's 9:40pm and The Hoy is not visible in the registration screen. Dude, where's my Hoy? Going for another look. Hope to see you there. Good luck to all! -out-

Oh yeah, Thanks Bro' for the pimpin props on your blog...hope to give you something else to write about in the a.m. See ya there! -out-
