BBT Hat Trick!

Just wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate Bayne from the BBT (Battle of the Bloggers Tournaments) for captuing the first "hat trick" ever of the tourney. Bayne was able to capture the title at the Mookie(Wed), the Rivercahser(Thur), and at the Hoy(Mon) becoming the only player to hold all three titles at one time, GREAT JOB Bayne!
With only 12 appearances(ChapelncHill) in the BBT tournaments (11 hoys & 1 Big Game) I am just getting warmed up and familiar with the players of the tournaments. Today as I read through many of the bloggers posts as I do every Tuesday I see that this is the last week of the season and Sundays Big Game will be the last tournament of the season. It has really been a pleasure to have had the opportunity to play thus far and I'm looking forward to the Big Game to hopefully capture my first title. Came close on several occasions with 4 final tables, 3 cashes and my best finish being 2nd to mntrider in my 2nd or 3rd tourney. Thanks to my brother you all know as TripJax for introducing me to the tournaments and to everyone else for the great experience each Monday. Hope to see ya at the tables on Sunday! Good Luck to All! Oh yea- forgot about the Freeroll- sitting in 22nd on the moneyboard and 60th on the overall- hope its good enough! Maybe a win at the Big Game Sunday will secure a spot!

Jacked...

Ace-Jacked is more like it! Sitting pretty good at the Hoy tonight. Got somewhere between 12&14 thousand in chips and sitting in 4th place. We're almost at the 2nd break when I get dealt KJ suited. Raised the pot and continue to bet when the high on the flop is a J. Continue the bet with a fold and hesitated call. Needless to say the hesitation was bait. I bit, continued to bet and got Ace-Jacked. Lost over 10k with only moments to the break. The very next hand, or very soon thereafter I'm dealt Q 10 suited. Cracknaces raises to the equivalance to half my stack. I call, hit the 10 on the flop and go all-in. I show top pair and yes, Crackn shows AJ ! (J of hearts) I Had the hand all the way to the river when the 4th heart came out and once again, in no more than 3 hands, I got Ace-Jacked. From 4th, to out in 24th that quick. Had I've done what I normally do and sit out next hand with 5 minutes to the break (so I have time to stretch, smoke and make a deposit-tmi huh) I would still be playing and not venting on this post.
Oh well, maybe next time! Did gain some points for the effort, and I desperately need those. Oh, and cracknaces, yes I did just call with 1/2 my measly stack. I've gotten down to less than 35 chips on 3 different occasions and come back to finish in the top 5. Once to win, so yes just a call will suffice for me, just in case I don't hit the flop. Until next time, I'm OUT... Literally.
gl to the remaining bloggers at the Hoy. See ya next week!

And what have you got?

A man and his wife spend the weekend at the casino. He hits it big but doesn't inform her. Unfortunately for him she knows about his big rake. As they are driving home at a steady rate of 60 mph, with the wife behind the wheel, the husband looks to his wife and says, "I know we've been married for quite some time now, but I want a divorce." The speed of the car increases to 70mph but the wife is silent. Moments later the husband speaks again, " I will be the one to keep the house, it is in my name." Still nothing from the wife except another increase in the speed of the car to about 78mph. "And as long as we're discussing it the bank accounts, credit card and all the investments will stay in my name as well!" At this point the wife buckles her seatbelt. This becomes a concern of the husband. Especially when he noticed they were now doing 85mph and headed straight towards a concrete bridge. At this point with a nervous tone in his voice he said, "Are you not going to ask for anything?" With only about 100yards to the bridge and in a calm voice she responded, " I already have all I need!" "And what have you got?" he nervously replied. Just before impact with the bridge she emphatically screamed..."I have the airbag!"

What the...

To get things started here I want to give you a couple of questions and a short haha. Just something to make ya think!

Question 1:
If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who already had 8 kids... 3 were deaf, 2 were blind, 1 was mentally retarded, and she had syphilis. Would you recommend she have an abortion?

Question 2:
It is time to elect a new world leader and only your vote counts. Here are the facts about the 3 candidates.

Candidate 1 - Associates with crooked politicians and consults with astrologists. He's had 2 mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8-10 martinis a day.

Candidate 2 - He was kicked out of office twice. Sleeps until noon each day. Used opiumin college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

Candidate 3 - He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke and has an occasional beer. He has never cheated on his wife.

Which of these candidates was your choice?

#1 is Franklin D. Roosevelt

#2 is Winston Churchill

#3 is Adolph Hitler

Hmmm - makes you think huh!?! Oh yea, if you answered YES to the abortion question... you just killed Beethoven.

Thanks to LRL!

Gotta get back to the Table. The felt is calling me. Need to get warmed up for the Hoy tonight! Hope to see you there and hopefully back here again! -OUT-

forgot the haha - check out next post.
